Summiteers, in their own voice
Speak Out
A space for Summiteers to share their civic work, reflections and original perspectives when they choose to publish.
Space for a voice. Not a placeholder for a person.
Entries will appear only after their format, identity details and release permissions are confirmed. No youth names, portraits, schools or stories are published here by default.
A civic voice is more than a profile.
Academic Civic NIL connects a young person's public identity with research, media literacy and responsible storytelling. Speak Out is intended to make room for the work itself: an idea, a reflection or a considered response to a civic question.
The emphasis is on what someone wants to contribute, not how much personal information can be displayed. Participation in the program does not automatically make a person's profile, school or story public.
Questions to develop a perspective.
The following reading prompts connect Speak Out to the program's existing approach. They are suggestions for reflection, not an open submission form or a confirmed entry format.
- What civic issue matters to you, and why?
- Which source helped you understand it differently?
- How would you explain a perspective that is not your own?
- What do you still need to learn before proposing a next step?
Choice, review and release.
Youth work needs an approved publication format and the required permissions before it appears here. Identifying details and media should be reviewed separately from the ideas a participant wants to share.
Until those approvals are in place, this page explains the purpose of Speak Out without inventing authors, sample submissions or testimonials.
